Backyard Oasis
Blue Pool by Jane O'neal 1976
As part of a Pacific Standard Time installation the Palm Springs Art Museum is putting on a show entitled Backyard Oasis: The Swimming Pool in Southern California, 1945-1982. I've always wanted to do a show of swimming pools throughout the San Fernando Valley and beyond. Of course, they'd all be empty, and full of my friends shralping the curved kidneys, amoebas, weird shapes, and death bowls. Although, maybe I could make some calls and get together with all my Hollywood friends and set up a shoot at some house up in the hills with a bunch of beautiful ladies sipping cool drinks.
Maybe one day.

Second Nature: Rizzo and Sakamoto
Patrick Rizzo and Noah Sakamoto of Second Nature fame. These two along with Colin Blackshear made what I think is the most awesome downhill skateboarding film ever. If you have not seen it yet check out the trailer here.
Hopefully these talented artists and rad skaters will work on another project soon. I'll be waiting.
